THE WOMEN’S INTER-CLUB TENNIS ASSOCIATION OF PHILA.
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF NOVEMBER 8, 2007
Following the presentation of awards by Match Chairman, Gail Yard, the meeting was called to order by President, Chris Morrison at 10:04 a.m.
Absent were: Cynwyd, Germantown, Green Valley/N.J., Haddon Field, Kennett Square, Martin’s Dam, Radnor Hunt, Radnor Valley, Riverton, South Jersey Tennis Center.
President, Chris Morrison, introduced the Executive Committee and then requested the Club Representatives to introduce themselves.
The minutes of the March 15, 2007 meeting were approved as read.
Treasurer, Janet Dzubow, presented the Treasurer’s Report and Annual Financial Report which shows a balance of $6,916.72. The reports were filed for audit. The proposed budget for 2007-2008 was also presented.
Match Chairman, Gail Yard, commented on a very good season. Only four cell phone forfeits were reported this year. Gail responded to a suggestion from a player to re-consider the number of players on each Cup. The Board will survey the Representatives and discuss any changes if needed for the 2009 season.
Marie Zweier, Scheduling, reported that some clubs will be adding or dropping some teams. White Manor will drop Cup F. Philadelphia Cricket will drop one of their Cup E’s. UMLY and Philmont will both be adding a Cup 12. Marie asked that any club who wants to add a team or drop a team must notify her before January.
Beverly Carroll, 2nd Vice-President, asked the representatives to encourage players to participate in the Hammonds Cup at Merion from July 21 to July 24.
Connie Ebert reported that no new teams have applied for admission.
Lucy Rainone, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, presented the 2008 slate for the Executive Committee and thanked the members for their participation.

There being no nominations from the floor, the above slate was unanimously elected.
New Business – Gail Yard presented Chris Morrison, our former President, with a gold charm as a token of our appreciation for her many years of service to the Women’s Inter-Club Tennis Association.
The next meeting will be held on JANUARY 10, 2008 at 10:00 in the Card Room. All representatives should come to the January meeting with the names and phone numbers of their team captains.
