THE WOMEN’S INTER-CLUB TENNIS ASSOCIATION OF PHILADELPHIA
MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF JANUARY 4, 2007
A regular meeting of the Women’s Inter-club Tennis Association of Philadelphia, held at the Merion Cricket Club, was called to order by Chris Morrison, President, at 10:10 a.m.
Absent: Buckingham, Chester Valley, Delaware Valley, Delsea, Frog Hollow, Germantown, Haverford, Kennett Square, Moorestown, Philadelphia Cricket, PlyMar, Radnor Valley, Wallingford.
The minutes of the November 9, 2006 meeting were approved as read.
Janet Dzubow, Treasurer, reported a balance of $5,248.31. The 2007 budget was read and approved. Janet indicated that there will be a $50.00 increase in postage costs due to a rise in postal rates. The bills for the participating clubs will go out in January. They must be paid a week before the Captains’ meeting. If there are any changes to the billing address please let her know. Janet also encouraged anyone who needs information about our association to click onto our website at www.interclub.homestead.com.
Gail Yard, Match Chairman, gave out pins to the teams who won their cups that were not present at the November meeting. Gail and Chris took a vote on the awarding of pins or plaques for teams winning their cups. The Club Representatives voted for a team plaque. Gail reminded the representatives that they are the link from the Executive Board to their clubs and captains. She also indicated that all rosters must be signed by the Club Representative before the Captains’ meeting in April.
Joy Susanin, Officer-at-Large reported that she could use three or four more Coordinators for 2007. Joy explained the duties and asked for names from all the clubs. Chris encouraged the clubs who field a lot of teams to provide a Coordinator. Betty Weiss from Upper Dublin volunteered to be a Coordinator.
Marie Zweier, Scheduling, reported that scheduling for the 2007 tennis season will begin shortly. Anyone adding or dropping teams should notify her as soon as possible.
There being no new business, Chris reminded the Club representatives of future meetings at the Merion Cricket Club. All teams need a Captain or a representative from their club at the Captains’ meeting in April.

APRIL 12 - 10:00 –Thursday, Cup Coordinators only
APRIL 18 - 10:00 – WED. , Captains’ Meeting
APRIL 23 – Monday Cups begin matches
APRIL 25 – Wednesday Cups begin matches
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:35.
