THE WOMEN’S INTER-CLUB TENNIS ASSOCIATION OF PHILADELPHIA

               MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF JANUARY 5, 2006

A  regular meeting of the Women’s Inter-club Tennis Association of Philadelphia, held at the Merion Cricket Club, was called to order by Chris Morrison, President, at 10:05 a.m.

Absent:  Cynwyd, Moorestown, Radnor Valley, Haddon Field, Haverford, Kennett Square, White Manor.

The minutes of the November 10, 2005 meeting were approved as corrected.

Janet Dzubow, Treasurer, reported a balance of $5,075.78 as of January 5, 2006.

The Treasurer’s proposed budget for 2006 was read and approved.  Janet indicated that the bills for the participating clubs will be mailed in January. 

Gail Yard, Match Chairman, gave out pins to Westtown for winning their cup.  She asked that all information for the tennis book, including captains’ names and phone numbers be submitted by January 12, 2006.She also asked that any club adding or dropping a team, please notify Marie Zweier before January 12.

Joy Susanin, Officer-at-Large, reported that we need three new coordinators.  Please contact her if you know anyone interested in being a coordinator.

Marie Zweier, Scheduling, reported that the scheduling for the 2006 tennis season will begin shortly.  All teams adding or dropping teams should contact her as soon as possible.  Marie noted that we are adding our website address to the tennis book.  The website address is:  www.interclub.homestead.com.  The website lists the schedules, minutes, board members, and participating clubs.

There being no new business, Chris reminded the representatives of future meetings at the Merion Cricket Club.

APRIL 6      -  10:00 – Thursday, Cup Coordinators only

APRIL 19    -  10:00 -  WEDNESDAY, All Captains

APRIL 24    -  Monday cups begin matches

APRIL 26    -  Wednesday cups begin matches

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 10:45.
